We’ve got a new addition to the EdinburghMenus team - Tasch Uszkurat our new online marketing manager. Even though she’s busy, we’ve managed to drag her away from her beloved Mac to ask a few questions:

Tasch, give us a little background about yourself.

“Well, I’ve just come back to the UK after travelling for 18 months. I wasn’t a total bum though and settled in Melbourne, Australia where I did various jobs including 6 months in marketing. But I’m glad to be back and have my home comforts once again.”

What are your plans for EdinburghMenus?

“There’s lots of great stuff on the horizon for EdinburghMenus. We’ll be keeping you up to date with fortnightly blogs so you’ll be in the know of all things new and yummy across Edinburgh (or not so, as the case may be). We’re working on launching a monthly news letter, which will have some snippets of the best reviews from the month, offers of the month, and a whole load of other features. I’m really excited to get my teeth into raising the profile of the site.”

What is the most challenging thing you have done recently?

“I did this Vipassana  meditation course in India. For 10 days I was not allowed to communicate with anyone and had to perform 10 hours of meditation per day, getting up at 4 a.m. Needless to say, it wasn’t for me, and I spent the whole time thinking about food.”
